In an unprecedented achievement, the University of Technology has secured a dominant victory in the recent Iraqi University Chess Championship. The university's team clinched the championship title in the men's category, outperforming all competitors with exceptional skill and unwavering determination. The women's team also claimed the second-place position, further solidifying the university's dominance in this intellectual sport.

The University of Technology's excellence extended beyond team competitions, as one of its students with disabilities secured second place in their category, underscoring the university's commitment to fostering the abilities of all students.

With these remarkable results, the University of Technology has once again affirmed its leadership in academic and athletic pursuits, reaping the rewards of its sustained efforts to support and nurture talented students.

The university's champions were honored in a vibrant ceremony, during which awards and medals were presented to the winners amidst the jubilation of students and supporters. This significant achievement is the culmination of collaborative efforts among well-trained students, dedicated faculty, and administrative staff, who worked together in a unified spirit to attain this extraordinary success.

 

 

The Assistant Professor, Dr. Ameen Dhanoon Ahmed, the Head of Student Activities Department, met with the Director of the Division of Arts and Cultural Activities, in the presence of the Assistant Head of Department, the Head of the Administrative Unit, and the division's staff. This meeting was part of a series of meetings held to consult and make decisions regarding the work of the Division of Arts and Cultural Activities, as well as the mechanisms that will be adopted for their annual plan in order to ensure the success of the work within the Technological University.

 

 

 

 

 
 
 

 

The Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy team retained the title of the University of Technology Football Championship for Lecturers for the ninth consecutive time after defeating the Department of Applied Sciences team by four goals to nil in the final match at the university's stadium. The match was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, and several heads of engineering and scientific departments and university lecturers.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw before the Department of Production Engineering team imposed its control over the game in the second half and succeeded in scoring four goals, which Lec. Adel Shbib, Ass. Prof. . Dr., scored. Munir Mahmoud, Ass. Lec. Ali Raad, and Ass. Lec. Momin Mazin.

The match was led by the referees, Ass,Prof. Muwaid Walid, Ass. Lec.. Murtadha Ali, Ass. Lec.. Mustafa Najdat, and the supervisor, Ass. Lec.. Mutaz Riyadh. The head of the Football Committee in the Student Activities Department at the university, Ass. Lec.. Ali Ismail, said that 16 teams representing the engineering and scientific departments at the university participated in the tournament.

The medals were distributed by the Head of the Department of Production Engineering and Metallurgy, Dr. Muhannad Al-Khafaji, to the Department of Applied Sciences team, which came in second place. The medals were distributed by the Head of the Department of Applied Sciences, Dr. Raid Abd Alwahab, to the first-place winner. The cups were distributed to the first and second-place winners by the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, and the Director of the Student Activities Department, Dr. Amin Dhanun Ahmed distributed the awards to many heads and directors of departments, centers, and departments participating in and supporting sports activities at the University of Technology.
